About the Board
Heather Jeffcoat, DPT
Executive Director
Heather (she/her/hers) is the founder and Executive Director of the The Origin Fund. She founded the organization in 2020 to address the gap in access to quality pelvic floor physical therapy services. Formation of The Origin Fund aims to improve accessibility for specialized pelvic health services for low income individuals. Heather has already authored a book on self-treatment for sexual pain, and in forming this organization is further expanding on her mission to improve access to quality care for those that suffer with chronic pelvic pain conditions, childbirth-related injuries and pre- and post-operative needs.

Mary P. Shriver
Board of Directors
Mary (she/her) is a Trauma-Informed and Resilience-Oriented (TIRO) Somatic Stress Therapist. She is a Resilience Toolkit Certification Trainer at Lumos Transforms, Certified Provider of Tension/Trauma Release Exercises (TREĀ®), Certified Massage Therapist, Certified Compassion Fatigue Educator, and holds a B.S. in Psychology from Denison University.
She is also trained in the Trauma Resilience Model and Community Resilience Model through the Trauma Resource Institute, Motivational Interviewing for Behavior Change (MINT), and Level 1 Resistance Flexibility with Bob Cooley.

Jeannette Sandoval

Jeannette (she/her/hers) is a Mental Health & Wellness professional in Los Angeles, California. She has her psychotherapy private practice where she works with families, couples and individuals. In addition, Jeannette currates psychoeducational training for staff development & wellness for organizations. She also works with K-12 schools to support the Mental Health of kids in the education sector.
Jeannette is a member of the Mental Health Consortium for Congresswoman Grace F. Napolitano. Jeannette received her BA in Psychology and Communications from California State University, Los Angeles. She has her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Oaks, in Pasadena California.

Her second company is Romaleaf.com - an organic Hemp CBD brand with a flagship store in Studio City. Its mission is to add relief to people's routines. Roma Leaf has been featured in national outlets including GQ, Vogue, Vanity Fair, Good Day LA/Fox11 and others.
